Almost 10 thousand participants, over 1,500 panellists and 400 hours of debates are the outcome of the last seven editions of the European Forum for New Ideas. The next, eighth edition of EFNI will be held in Sopot in September.
The European Forum for New Ideas has been organised by the Polish Confederation Lewiatan in cooperation with BusinessEurope and the city of Sopot since 2011. For eight years, the Forum has been one of the most important business events in this part of Europe, bringing together key representatives of business, national and European administration, scientists, artists, visionaries and journalists from the most influential media.
‘Since the very beginning in 2011, the idea behind the Forum has been to devise a platform for exchanging thoughts and concepts intended to improve the environment in which we live and carry out business. Only by observing trends closely can we react quickly, proactively and constructively to shape the future of our continent,’ stressed Henryka Bochniarz, President of the Polish Confederation Lewiatan.
The seven editions of the Forum held so far have attracted such outstanding guests as Benjamin Barber, José Manuel Barroso, Zygmunt Bauman, Zbigniew Brzeziński, Norman Davies, George Friedman, Mikhail Gorbachev, Mario Monti, Herman Van Rompuy, Frans Timmermans, Lech Wałęsa and Günter Verheugen.
